Let’s start with a standard hand pallet truck. You’ve seen these before at giant warehouse stores like Sam’s Club, it looks like a forklift but it’s operated by one walking employee. The forks lift just enough to get a pallet or two off the ground to move it a reasonable distance. Not necessarily intended for large heavy loads, these lifts are good in confined areas and can help your staff work smarter, not harder.
One stop above the standard pallet truck is the electric pallet truck, which operates just like the standard, but it’s powered and can lift and move loads easier and with a little more speed.
Then there’s a pallet truck that allows an operator to “ride” on the unit and we’re getting closer to an actual forklift here with the power and maneuverability. These battery-powered units provide easy maintenance and even indicators to determine how much battery power you have left.
